Prof. Aditya Kapoor, HOD, Cardiology Department, SGPGI, Lucknow, will inform about the purpose, usage, and operating method of the machine, at 11.00 a. m., 6 February Monday. CMS Founders, Dr Jagdish Gandhi, Dr Bharti Gandhi; CMS President, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon; senior officials of CMS, teachers, workers, and other eminent citizens will be present on this occasion.
In the present age, heart-attack has become a bitter truth, in medical terms known as 'Sudden Cardiac Arrest' (SCA), and even delay of a minute can be fatal. Therefore, CMS management decided to install an AED machine at the head Office, and at all its Campuses. An AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses life-threatening heart rhythms and treats cardiac arrest victims by application of electricity through paddles and allows the heartbeat to recover. The device has simple audio and visual commands and is designed to be used by laypersons.
