Lucknow, 21 January : City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus is organizing 6th International School Cricket League (ISCL-2023) from 27 January to 1 February 2023 in which 16 cricket teams from noted schools of South Africa, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Oman, Nepal and India are participating. This mega sports event is dedicated to promote unity and peace across the globe. Mr Sharma said that in this cricket 'Mahakumbh', the young players will have the opportunity to chisel their sports skills and it will also spread friendship and brotherhood across the globe. Some of the very eminent sports figures will grace this mega event and motivate the young cricketers from India and abroad.
This cricket contest will be similar to the International T-20 contests and its rules and regulations will also be the same. There will be a total 31 matches between 16 teams from India and abroad on the basis of league cum knock out format. The matches will be played at three grounds, one at the CMS Kanpur Road Ground, second at the Multi Activity Centre Ground and third at the Paarth Ground. The first two matches of the day will be played from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm followed by another one from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. A day-night match will also be played from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm. The top performers will win awards like Man of the Match, Man of the Series, Best Bowler, Best Batsman and Best Fielder award.
ISCL-2023 will begin from 27th January but the official opening ceremony will be held on 28th January at 4.00 pm at CMS Kanpur Road ground amidst scintillating colourful educational-cultural items. Shri Rajeev Shukla, Vice President of BCCI, will be the Chief Guest on this occasion. Mr Sharma informed that the teams participating in International Cricket competition comprise - St. Peter's College, Johannesburg, South Africa; TISSL International Schools, Colombo, Sri Lanka; Legend Combined School, Zimbabwe; Indian School, Muscat, Oman; D.A.V. Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharti Higher Secondary School, Lalitpur, Nepal; Sudur Pashchimanchal Academy, Kailali, Nepal; Aster Public School, Greater Noida, U.P.; Amenity Public School, Rudrapur, Uttarakhand; Gyan Ganga Public School, Patna, Bihar; D.A.V. Senior Secondary School, Amristar, Punjab; Little Angels School, Haryana; Aachaarya Vidhyalaya School, Hyderabad; Bal Bhawan Public School, Delhi; South City International School, Kolkatta; Aryan International School, M.P. and City Montessori School, Lucknow.
