Increasing possibility of raised reimbursement for private schools as per guidelines of Rule 8(2) 2011 pertaining to Free and Compulsory

Lucknow September 12: In view of the decision taken by the Lucknow Bench of Hon’ble High Court, Allahabad regarding fee reimbursement, Lucknow Educational and Aesthetic Development Society, U.P. versus Uttar Pradesh Government, Case No 15790/2019, Basic Education Minister, U.P. (Independent charge), Hon’ble Mr Sandeep Singh gave an assurance of the government’s committed approach to reimburse private schools. The reimbursement has continued to remain the same at Rs 450/- for the past 12 years. Minister for Basic Education assured the President of the Association of Private Schools, Uttar Pradesh, Mr Atul Kumar. This information was given by the President of the Association, Mr Atul Kumar himself.

Mr Atul Kumar said that yesterday during his meeting with the Basic Education Minister, he even offered him a representation in this regard. After this, the Minister for Basic Education assured him the allotment of funds for overdue re-imbursement amount this month and re-imbursement will be done next month.
