CMS student highlights the beauty of birds in their natural habitat through her book

Lucknow, May 18 : Spandana Bharadwaj, an ardent nature and wildlife photographer and a keen birdwatcher, studies in Class XII at City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus I. Her recent book “Feathered Friends Around Us” is an eye-opener creating the urgent need to conserve birds in their natural habitat. A beautiful compilation of over 80 birds found commonly around us, the book has been well received by nature enthusiasts and conservationists all over India. It contains valuable information about various kinds of birds and succeeds in its aim of arousing interest for birds among the children and the youth. Photographs are of a high standard depicting our feathered friends in their most colourful attire and are attractively presented in natural surroundings. In this age of robotics and fast changing technology, the book appears as a refreshing change taking us back to our ecosystem and the world of nature. It is an asset for book lovers and ornithologists. A leading ornithologist of India and former Director of BNHS, Dr Asad Rahmani released the book recently and has highly recommended it for nature lovers, school children and bird watchers. CMS Founder-Manager, Dr Jagdish Gandhi has praised the efforts of Spandana and wished her all the best in her future endeavours.
Spandana has clicked bird photographs in various places of natural beauty and inspired the younger generation to conserve wildlife and birds and not to interfere with natural surroundings which provide a home for birds and beasts. We should try to save many species which have become endangered and prevent their extinction on earth.

Congratulations
