
Lucknow, December 3 : The five-day International Youth Festival-2022 being organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus II, commenced in all its grandeur at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium today. Chief Guest, Shri Anil Rajbhar, Minister, Labour and Employment, UP, inaugurated the opening ceremony by lighting the lamp of learning. Over 500 participating students from Nepal and various states of India presented a grand view of a world full of values of unity and brotherhood. On this occasion, CMS students presented colourful educational-cultural programmes in honour of the participating students' teams which received immense audience appreciation and sent the auditorium reverberating with incessant applause. It is worth mentioning here that more than 60 student teams from India and abroad are participating in this International Youth Festival being organized from 3 to 7 December at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium.
Addressing the august gathering at the inaugural ceremony, the Chief Guest, Shri Anil Rajbhar, Minister, Labour and Employment, UP, said that literature, art and culture develop the finer aspects of personality. This international youth festival will be helpful in enhancing creative talent in children and boost their self-confidence. CMS Founder and renowned educationist Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that this international festival will not only be an amazing amalgamation of art and culture but will also be the best platform for the rich exchange of thoughts among the younger generation. Dr Gandhi further said that CMS is endeavouring to develop a global outlook in its own students as well as in students of other nations so that they grow up to become world leaders.
Earlier, the participating students from India and abroad met with the media persons in the afternoon and spoke freely about their feelings on arrival here. Expressing their views at the press conference, the students of Durga Shaikshik Grih, Nepal said that here we find the atmosphere similar to our homes and our happiness and enthusiasm is doubled by the warm reception we have received from CMS students and teachers. The students of Modern School, Nagpur, said that we will get an opportunity to showcase our artistic talents during this International Youth Festival. The students of Adarsh Vidhya Niketan, Nepal said with great earnestness that they will make lots of friends here in this event. They showed their eagerness to visit the historical places of Lucknow. Similarly, many other participating students were bubbling with enthusiasm and were eager to showcase their talents.
Mrs Anupama Checker, Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus II and Convener of International Youth Festival highlighted the aims and objectives of this international festival saying that it provided ample opportunity to bring out the latent talents of students and also propagate the idea of Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam. She informed that during the 5-days of IYF-2022, several exciting competitions will be organized such as Digital Comic, Model Making, Debate, Drama and Choreography etc. that will develop the all round talents of the younger generation and also help in enhancing their humanistic and spiritual outlook.
The competitions at International Youth Fest will commence from tomorrow, i.e. 4 December from 9.00 am and conclude on 7 December with a grand Prize Distribution and Closing Ceremony. Tomorrow on 4th December, debate and digital comic competitions will be organized.
