CMS teachers to take out Ahimsa March on October 1 Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya will be the Chief Guest


Lucknow, September 25: More than three thousand teachers and workers of City Montessori School will be taking out a grand 'Ahimsa March' on October 1, Saturday to mark the auspicious occasion of 'Gandhi Jayanti and International Day of Non-Violence' spreading out the thoughts and teachings of the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, far and wide. Clad in white khadi, CMS teachers will commence their huge March at 8.00 am from Maqdoompur Police Station, Gomti Nagar extension to culminate into a large assembly on reaching at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II auditorium, where a plethora of educational-cultural items, dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and ahimsa remembering his persona and works, will be staged. Founders of CMS and renowned educationists Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi and CMS President, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon along with the Principals of all CMS Campuses will be leading this March. It will also be joined by the noted figures from the field of education, literary, journalism and others who will also spread the message of Bapu.
    After the 'Ahimsa March', CMS teachers will celebrate 'International Ahimsa Day' and vow to spread the feelings of ahimsa across the globe. Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya will be the Chief Guest on this occasion. At this function, the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi will be garlanded to remember their deeds and CMS teachers will present various educational cultural items disseminating the concept of an ideal society.
