School and parents should join hands to inculcate a global vision in children from the beginning
— Dr Jagdish Gandhi, renowned educationist and Founder, CMS
Lucknow, March 24: CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi while addressing the large gathering of parents at the Divine Education Conference of CMS Station Road Campus at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium, said that our rich cultural heritage believes in Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam and we must imbue the seeds of this concept in the young minds of our children to give them a global outlook. He emphasized that several parts of the world today are involved in wars that consume billions and cause massive suffering and pain to the humanity. Therefore, we need to nurture the young generation as citizens who can bring about peace, unity and prosperity in the world.
The programme began with lighting of the lamp ceremony. It was not just the students who thrilled the audience with an array of devotional-cultural items, but their mothers too who participated enthusiastically in songs and dance programmes keeping the audience enthralled. The students who performed brilliantly in annual examination were awarded prizes on this occasion.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude towards parents and guardians, Principal of CMS Station Road Campus, Mrs Deepali Gautam said that CMS has taken the responsibility to develop its students as 'Total Quality Persons' but it is only feasible with the help of parents. She thanked parents for participating actively and inspiring the students.
